Captain America: First Trailer

Quick thoughts… Another  summer, another set of superhero flicks. On rotation for summer 2011 is the Green Lantern, Thor, X-Men: First Class and Captain America: First Avenger. Judging from the trailers alone, obviously, the Green Lantern looks like it has a CGI-retardation and Thor looks like the epitome of mediocre. X-Men: First Class seems like it will be a legitimate superhero flick, with such talents as Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy in the lead roles. Lastly, there’s Captain America: First Avenger.

The teaser trailer from the Superbowl didn’t show much, but it still amazed me more than the Green Lantern and Thor. A new trailer has been released for Captain America: First Avenger, and it looks solid. Yes, the beginning that shows a  puny little Chris Evans may have some thinking “A Curious Case of Captain America,” but everything else about the trailer is well done. Is this just a case of an intriguing trailer covering up for a poor film? We’ll find out on July 22nd.
